The 2018 J/24 US Nationals is excited to announce that it will be hosting a Skipper Dunk Tank to raise money for the Kelly Holmes-Moon Boat Grant Program. We already have 12 light hearted skippers signed up to take part! The dunk tank will take place after racing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please bring a little extra "mad money" to have fun dunking your favorite (or least favorite skipper) and support a great cause.
If you would like to be added to our "Skippers to Be Dunked" list, please email Molly White at email@example.com

As you and your crew get ready to head for Maine and the US Nationals please keep in mind that we are trying our hardest to make this a "green event." Remember to pack your favorite Water Bottle-We will have water refill stations for crew to refill water bottles before hitting the race course. When in Doubt, Ask-The majority of our food will be served on compostable goods right down to the forks and straws, but if you are not sure what can go into the compost bin, just ask one of our many expert volunteers. Recycle-The club has many areas that crews can jettison empties after leaving the boat. Please look for the bottle and can recycling bins.
Save Your Cup-To avoid waste, each participant in the event will be given a 2018 J/24 US Nationals Reusable cup for the weekend. Don't lose it or you will have nothing to drink out of for the rest of the event!

J/24 Fleet 43 and the organizing committee of the annual J/24 Downeast Regatta, which has been held for over 20 years on Casco Bay, Maine and the 2015 J/24 North Americans, is excited to invite you to the 2018 J/24 U.S. National Championships. There is a rich history of the J/24 sailboat and sailors in Maine. The past World Champion Will Welles is originally from Southwest Harbor, Maine and cut his teeth sailing J/24s in his early years in Maine. The J/24 Downeast Regatta has average over 30 boats over the last 9 years and has had as many as 42 boat attend. There were 49 boats on the line and 50 registered for the 2015 NAs and we expect to fill all 50 slots very quickly as this will be the most fun and competitive Nationals in recent history.
